Formula 1 remains loyal to Mexico. The premier class of motorsport confirmed an extension of the contract on Wednesday.
Formula 1 will take place in Mexico until at least 2028. The new three -year contract applies from 2026, as can be seen from an official message.
“We are very pleased to be able to announce that the Grand Price of Mexico City will be part of our calendar until 2028. Formula 1 stands for energy, passion and emotions, and the unique atmosphere that our fans create in Mexico City is one of the most incredible and energetic experiences of our championship every year,” F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali is quoted.
In 2025 the race in Mexico will increase on October 26th. In 2026, 2027 and 2028, the Formula 1 stars will also do their rounds in Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, as is now certain.
