Rare swordfish washed up at Eemshaven: 1.80 meters long and tens of kilos heavy

A young, very rare swordfish has been washed up on the Wad near the Eemshaven in Uithuizermeeden. According to experts, it is almost 40 years ago that a swordfish washed up in the Netherlands. The animal was noticed on Tuesday at the end of the afternoon at the northernmost tip of Groningen by a hobby photographer.
