The football world looks into the USA in the summer of 2025! From June 15th to July 13th, the Reformed World Cup with 32 teams will take place for the first time-larger, lucrative and prestigious than ever. FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also included. Here T-Online answers the most important questions about the new XXL tournament.
FIFA invited 32 teams from all continents for the 2025 club World Cup. They are spread over eight groups of four as follows:
Group A: Palmeiras (BRA), FC Porto (POR), al-Nahry (EGY), Inter Miami (USA)
Group B: Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), Atlético Madrid (ESP), Botafogo (Bra), Seattle Sunders (USA)
Group C: FC Bayern Munich (GER), Auckland City (NZL), Boca Juniors (ARG), Benfica Lisbon (Por)
Group D: Flamengo (bra), fc chelsea (narrow), it tunis (do), club leon (mex)
Group E: River Plate (ARG), Inter Milan (ITA), Urawa Red Diamonds (JPN), CF Monterrey (Mex)
Group F: Fluminense (Bra), Borussia Dortmund (GER), Ulsan HD FC (KOR), Mamelodi Sundowns (RSA)
Group G: Manchester City (Eng), Juventus Turin (ITA), Wydad Casablanca (Mar), Al-Aain FC (UAE)
Group H: Real Madrid (ESP), Al-Hilal (KSA), CF Pachuca (Mex), Red Bull Salzburg (Aut)

FC Bayern starts the tournament preparation on the site of the Walt Disney World in Orlando (ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex). At the latest for the possible semi -finals and a possible finale, it is planned that the record champions will continue to New York, where the tournament is decided.
Borussia Dortmund also receives his base camp in Florda. However, the base camp in Fort Lauderdale should be north of Miami. There the team prepares for the preliminary round and remains flexible for change of location if possible.
The 32 teams are distributed on eight groups of four teams. The best two teams move into the round of 16. From then on, KO mode goes to the final. A total of 63 games are played in eleven cities.
FIFA can cost the club World Cup around one billion US dollars. FC Bayern receives a guaranteed entry fee of 30 million euros. With maximum sporting success, revenue of up to 115 million euros could come together through victory premiums.
Borussia Dortmund receives a little less guaranteed entry fee, but also at least 20 million euros. The victory premiums are the same for all teams.
There is a bonus of almost € 1.8 million for a win in the preliminary round. To achieve the round of 16, around € 6.8 million, the quarter -finals € 12 million, the semi -finals around € 19 million. As a finalist, the clubs are certain of another 27 million euros. The tournament winner even receives a whopping 36 million euros.
