Byborres textile room: creative and transparent production
In addition to these adaptable fabrics, the platform offers the option of building textiles from scratch, either independently or in cooperation with the knitting design-Expert: inside of Byborre. In this way, the material development becomes part of the creative identity of the manufacturers: inside.
All fabrics are produced on order, with a minimum acceptance of 50 meters. In addition, each design is provided with a textile passport, a digital pass with a complete traceability of the production process, including environmental information based on a life cycle analysis LCA. This means that byborre not only offers custom -made products, but also a concrete contribution to increasing transparency in the supply chain.
With the textile room, Byborre takes another step towards a more circular, efficient and creative textile industry. Previously, Byborre had introduced the Create platform, a digital design environment with which complex 3D fabrics can be developed intuitively.
Co -founder and creative director Akkersdijk described them as ‘Photoshop for textiles’. In 2021, the platform was awarded the Dutch Design Awards as a product of the year for its innovative character and its potential to reduce waste in industry.
