Demi Moore is the most beautiful woman in the world in 2025, so the “People” magazine decided in its annual special edition. The title is this time: “Of course it’s Demi Moore.” The magazine not only recognizes Moore for her external beauty, but also for her remarkable career and her courage to remain true to yourself. The actress, which was last seen in the horror film “The Substance” (2024), which deals with the striving for the perfect appearance, talks about her journey to self -acceptance in an interview.
“I’m not perfect-and that’s okay,” says the 62-year-old in an interview with “People”. In recent years she has repeatedly emphasized that she feels more comfortable in her skin than ever before. During her time in the 1990s, she tortured her body with intensive workouts and punished herself to meet the ideals of beauty. “What I did to myself – that was violence against myself,” Moore reflects today.
Demi Moore about self -acceptance and inner harmony
At that time, striving for physical perfection led Moore to a point where she was no longer in line with herself. She finally decided to let go and accept her natural physique. “I decided to give up control,” she says to “People”. Today she feels at peace with her body and has learned to live her own definition of beauty.
“I have a greater appreciation for everything my body has done to bring myself here,” continued Moore. “That doesn’t mean that I sometimes don’t look in the mirror and think: ‘Oh god, I look old’, I do. But I can accept that this is the condition I am today, and I know that the difference is not defined today or who I am.”
In the horror film “The Substance” Moore recently shone in the role of an aging star trainer. A woman who desperately tries to preserve her youth also correlates with Moor’s life story. “I think what was really relating is this violence, which we can sometimes exercise against ourselves,” she says to “People”. Today, as the mother of three daughters, whom she has with her ex-husband Bruce Willis (70), she sees the world from a different perspective.
“Beauty creates authenticity and positivity”
Moore has found her own definition of beauty: “In a way, beauty is simply there. You can view a flower and recognize its beauty,” she explains “People”. “At the human level, I think that it consists of authenticity and positivity. Beauty creates when you feel comfortable to be exactly the way you are.”
Although Demi Moore was not awarded for their performance in “The Substance” at the Oscars 2025, she shows itself. “I was disappointed,” she admits, “but at the same time it was a relief to spend the next day in the pajamas. I was just so happy to just sleep out, know that I had to go anywhere. It was just a wonderful, relaxed day”. For this, Moore received her first Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for the role.
