Dries Roelvink does understand why Arjen Lubach is currently under fire. The singer has nothing with the RTL 4-Satiricus. “I can’t look at it,” said the I am coming singer.

Will Arjen Lubach slowly regret his switch to RTL 4? His viewing figures are under a magnifying glass now that he works at a commercial TV channel. At the VPRO he could casually do what he wanted-the tax money was flowing in-but this time he has to make what the RTL 4-viewer likes. And those guys from him? Rejected.

Autocue base

The viewing figures of Arjen were strongly broken after the premiere and Dries understands that. “It must have been a good step financially. But I can’t look at it. He reads some jokes for the autocue and puts applause. The viewer now also gets that on,” says 66-year-old folk singer in the Story.

Dries makes these statements as part of the Story-Prominentenpanel. The painful thing is: none in that panel likes Arjen and that unity is unique.

Indiscriminated

Bobbi Eden thinks RTL has made a big mistake with bringing in Arjen. “The bank account of Arjen Lubach did not go wrong at all. Maybe they have been sleeping at RTL by thinking that the NPO audience would move with indiscriminate.

She continues: “Of course it is a bit early to immediately say that this adventure failed, but there is now a small low -pressure area above.”

A pity

Henk Krol, Rob Geus and Ronnie Tober also think it is a failed transfer. “I think it’s a shame that he switched,” says Henk for example.

What will RTL 4 find a pity? That Arjen does not care about the criticism and simply continues to invite his VPRO guests. With the commercial, however, you have to entertain your audience, not yourself. And that is what the ratings make it painfully clear …
