The darts elite meets a special kind tournament in summer. World champion Luke Littler will also be part of the party.

As the PDC confirmed on Wednesday, Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen and Fallon Sherrock will play a tournament in the middle of London on July 8th.

The event is part of the “Hyde Park’s Open House Summer Festival”, a festival in the world -famous park in the heart of the English capital.

Part of the so-called BST Hyde Park Darts Championship is also a double tournament in which singer Olly Murs, radio presenter Roman Kemp and ex-football professional Dion Dublin will take part.

PDC managing director promises “world-class dartshow”

“We are very much looking forward to organizing a world-class dart show as part of this year’s BST Hyde Park Open House Festival,” said PDC Managing Director Matt Porter in an official statement by the association.

It is “an iconic part of the British summer time and darts is an iconic part of British culture, so it is a really exciting concept to bring it together and we can’t wait, it will be a funny, entertaining evening,” said the darts official.

Darts spectacle with a prominent field of participants

With Luke Humphries, Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen, the top 3 of the current darts world rankings are at the start.

Sherrock had written history at the Darts World Cup 2020 when she was the first woman to win a game in the legendary Alexandra Palace and made it into the third round. In 2022 the 30-year-old won the Women’s World Matchplay.

The show tournament in London is thus prominently occupied. First of all, on Thursday, it continues in the Premier League Darts. At the weekend, the European Tour in Graz makes the Austrian Darts Open Station.
