In the dioceses in Breda and Den Bosch, a prayer card is published in memory of Pope Francis. The pope died on Monday and is buried on Saturday. The prayer card is distributed through all Roman Catholic churches in the Netherlands and can also be ordered from the dioceses. There are a short biography of Francis and a prayer on the picture.
According to a spokesperson, the prints can be distributed in the church. They can also be placed on a brochure table in the church or at a special ‘thought spot’ that some churches have set up for the deceased church leader. Whether the picture is already available this week is not yet certain.
In prayer, Francis is honored for his attention to ‘marginalized people in society, especially refugees and migrants’ and for his ‘care for creation’. There is also praying for his soul’s rest.
