Remains preserved as a manager

After just one win from the last seven games in the promotion race of the 3rd league, Rüdiger Ziehl resigned as a coach of 1. FC Saarbrücken. The 47-year-old initially started the office in October 2022, but then remained responsible. In 118 games under his leadership, the FCS scored an average of 1.83 points. Ziehl remains Saarbrücken as a manager.
The successor has already been clarified: Alois Schwartz should still fulfill the promotion rooms in the end of the season. The 58-year-old, who last stood on the sidelines from March to December 2023 with Hansa Rostock, already led the Karlsruher SC to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2019. In the fourth place in the season, the FCS fourth in the table is six points behind a promotion place, it is also two points behind the relegation rank.
