In the Premier League there was a serious collision from two players on Saturday. Afterwards, a professional was on the ground for minutes. Now there is an update.
A heavy collision overshadowed the game between FC Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday. Defender Jan Paul van Hecke had to be treated on the pitch for minutes after the incident – but is now on the way home. That was announced by his club.
The 24-year-old collided with Brentfords Yunus Konak. Both players collided with their heads. Van Hecke then stayed on the lawn and was medical care for more than 15 minutes. An oxygen mask was also used. Finally, the Dutch international was brought from a field on a stretcher and taken to the hospital.
On the night of Sunday, Brighton gave the all -clear: Van Hecke was already on the way home. The club did not provide any more detailed information on the type of injury.
