After the bitter Champions League off to Inter Milan during the week, FC Bayern has reason to celebrate in the Bundesliga: in Heidenheim, the Munich team won a clear away win on match day 30.

Harry Kane (13th minute), Konrad Laimer (19th), Kingsley Coman (36th) and Joshua Kimmich (56th) scored for Bayern on Saturday afternoon for the completely safe 4: 0 (3: 0) away win on the Ostalb.

“It is nice if it looks simple from the outside – but none of us in the cabin underestimates how important victory was today, especially in the way,” said Bavaria’s goal scorer Kimmich after the game at the Sportschau microphone.

Kimmich is “proud” on Bavaria

About the extremely bitter royal class from the week, the away win at the relegation candidate Heidenheim will hardly stood away – and yet Kimmich emphasized the great importance of the success: “We still stood out about 40 hours ago and had to take a big disappointment. I am very proud and satisfied with how we played today.”

In the case of four remaining games, the lead over pursuer Bayer Leverkusen is at least nine points in the meantime, but the Werkelf can again shorten six points on Sunday (7.30 p.m. on St. Pauli).

Stumbling block Heidenheim? Bavaria highly motivated

The royal class in the bones, a tricky duel with a relegation candidate and four changes in the starting eleven (among other things Aleksandar Pavlovic replaced the injured Leon Goretzka): The prerequisites for a possible Bayern stuttering start in Heidenheim were definitely met. But early on, the Bundesliga record champion showed that he was willing to leave no doubt about an away win.

A few minutes were played when the guests tore the game completely. The first chances were just a matter of time – the first came in the 13th minute. Michael Olise played a clever pass to the penalty area to Kane, who showed his perfect ball treatment and got himself in a shot position. From 18 meters, the Englishman scored his 24th goal of the season with the left.

Clear superiority of FC Bayern

Bayern stayed on the accelerator pedal. A good five minutes after the leadership, it was Serge Gnabry, who showed the next remarkable campaign: the 29-year-old, which was used by Kompany, put through on Laimer, who was a hanging point of view, who remained ice-cold in the direct duel with Heidenheim’s goalkeeper Kevin Müller.

The game seemed to have been decided after 20 minutes: on one side Heidenheim, which hardly found the game, on the other hand, the serious and probably with a little anger in the abdomen. The guests played out more opportunities, but the third goal was long in coming: Guerreiro failed with his direct acceptance to Müller, Coman grabbed the rebound and caught Heidenheim’s goalkeeper in the short corner.

3: 0 – Kingsley Coman shoots his fifth goal of the season

Kimmich also meets, Bavaria takes pace out

The second round did not offer a changed picture: the Bavarians were still superior, but took a gear. But also in expanded administrative mode there were further options for indisposed Heidenheimers. Kimmich came to the ball via Pavlovic and Guerreiro on the box and pushed thought about the fourth guest goal.

Heidenheim’s plan, with ball winnings about striker Marvin Pieringer and the fast Sirlord Conteh to find their way into the depths quickly – did not go up – until the 68th minute, when Pieringer once technically finely enforced and set up his adjoining man. Conteh appeared freely in front of Bayern keeper Jonas Urbig, who parried the end of the end and thus thwarted the biggest chance of the otherwise harmless hosts.

Company changed, brought Thomas Müller and Leroy Sané for the goal scorers Kane and Coman. But really swing came into the game anymore. Bayern continued to pay a lot of possession, but did not press the fifth goal with vehemence. The final phase rippled, the 4-0 was the final score that was also in height.

Heidenheim’s important next games

Heidenheim should be able to live with the defeat: the qualitative difference to Bayern is too great, points would have been bonus counter anyway. In the relegation battle, it is now important in the remaining four games to get the necessary points for relegation.

“Bavaria has the quality and attitude today. If that comes together, it will be difficult for us,” said Heidenheim coach Frank Schmidt after the game: “But we have to tick it off because now the games that are about everything we are more at eye level.”

Heidenheim will be a guest on Friday evening in Stuttgart (8.30 p.m.). Bavaria welcomes 1st FSV Mainz 05 (3.30 p.m.) on Saturday afternoon.
