The future of Max Verstappen at Red Bull is uncertain. Now the first rumors about other Formula 1 teams are circulating.

“We have to create a basis with which he can fight for the World Cup,” said Red Bull consultant Helmut Marko after the disappointing sixth place in Max Verstappen in Bahrain. Due to the car, the Dutchman currently has problems with the McLaren pilots. Marko therefore spoke of a “big concern” that Verstappen could leave Red Bull if nothing changes.

As the “Gazzetta Dello Sport” reports, there are now business games for a record contract for the world champion at another team. The Italian sports newspaper wants to have learned from the surrounding area of the Saudi state fund “Public Investment Fund” (PIF) that it would like to join Formula 1 and take over the Aston Martin team. Verstappen should then come to the racing team as a top driver.

We are talking about a three-year contract over $ 300 million for the $ 27. That would be the equivalent of 264 million euros, i.e. 88 million euros annually. A historical sum, currently Verstappen deserves around 60 million euros per year according to the “picture”. For comparison: According to the “picture”, Lewis Hamilton receives 55 million euros per season from Ferrari.

Verstappen Treaty at Red Bull officially runs until 2028, but according to media reports, however, he should have an exit clause after this season. In addition to Aston Martin, Mercedes should also have the multiple world champion on the slip.
