Puljujärvi, who played in the Florida Panthers ranks, tackled Tampa Bay Lightning’s Mitchell Chaffe earlier this week.
It is possible that Lake Puljujärvi will not be seen at least this season on the NHL ice. On Wednesday, the Panthers sent a Finnish AHL team to Charlotte Checkers.
The Panthers will start this week’s playoffs against Lightning.
26-year-old Puljujärvi played five matches in Florida’s shirt with 1+0.
Earlier this season, Puljujärvi received departure passports from Pittsburgh Penguins. However, he did not return to Europe but signed an AHL agreement with Checkers.
