The 1. FC Heidenheim has extended goalkeeper Paul Tschernuth. The 23-year-old, whose contract had originally expired, signed a new working paper by 2027. The Austrian has been active for the club since 2020, and he was not yet allowed to debut for the professionals.

“In the past five years with us, ‘Tscherni’ has had its reliability and skills as an absolute team player. In addition, he is still young and has the corresponding development potential as a goalkeeper. We are therefore pleased that we will continue to preserve Cherni,” said CEO Holger Sanwald.

Tschernuth, who had come to the FCH from his home from the USC Eugendorf, explained: “I am very grateful for the trust that is shown to me. With the values of the FCH, I can identify one hundred percent, which is why the club has become like a second home for myself in recent years. I will continue to work hard to support the team as best as possible.”
