The Sport 2000 trade association has further rolled out its new multi-category format. On Thursday, the company, which belongs to the AnwR Group, announced that the two partners Sprengers Sportland in Schongau and Sport Dörner in Leutkirch modernized their stores and switched to the new concept.
Sprengers Sportland celebrated the reopening on April 3, Sport Dörner was on April 11th. The shop in Leutkirch had also enlarged its sales area from 450 to almost 500 square meters in the course of the conversion measures.
“We congratulate both partners for the reopening. With their investment, they set a strong sign for the future of the multi-category retail,” said Sport-20000 Managing Director Margit Gosau in a message.
The new multi-category concept “Sport 2000” was presented last year
The new “Sport 2000” concept was presented last summer. According to the association, it is “geared towards strengthening multi-category retailers and sports performance segments”. At the same time, Sport 2000 has the “specialists” absolute and experts that concentrate on individual sports and are managed as “independent brands”.
Gosau encouraged other partners to take over the new concept: “Overall, the partners benefit from sustainable business development that not only includes optical improvements, but also increases competitiveness in the long term,” she said. “Anyone who fully implements and lives the idea of the ‘Sport 2000’ format will also establish themselves as a modern, future-proof dealer. We are firmly convinced of this.”
