The Lycra Company, a worldwide leading company in the development of innovative and sustainable fiber and technology solutions for the global clothing industry, announced today that it was the biologically based Lycra® Ecomade fiber (Bio-Derived Lycra® Ecomade Fiber) on the Kingpins Amsterdam on 16/17. This innovative fiber, which consists of 70 percent of renewable raw materials, has the potential to reduce the CO2 emissions of the fiber LYCRA® by up to 44 %* and offers the same performance as the original Lycra® fiber. It is a one-to-one replacement-neither textile substances, nor patterns or processes must be redesigned.
