Jessic Ngankam’s bad injury overshadowed the game between Hanover and Elversberg. The professional was operated on immediately – and now gave an update.
After his serious injury, Jessic Ngankam spoke publicly. The attacker of second division Hannover 96 posted a photo from the hospital bed in his story on Instagram.
The professional wears a black muscle shirt in the picture, pulled a blanket to the hip and points up the thumb with a wide smile. His left, operated leg is covered and not fully seen in the photo. However, it can be seen that Ngankam put it up on a cushion – apparently to protect it.
Above the picture is written in Weiß’s writing: “Thank you for your support and the dear news! The operation went very well.” The text is garnished with an emoji, a red, bandaged heart.
Ngankam had broken the shin and fabric in the game between Hannover 96 and SV Elversberg in the game between Hannover 96 and SV Elversberg. This was preceded by a tackle of guest player Paul Stock. During the defense campaign, NGANKAM’s lower leg was completely bent away under the leg of the midfielder. The 24-year-old was treated for minutes on the place, then removed with a stretcher under the applause of the spectators and taken to the hospital. The former Hertha professional will no longer be used this season. Hannover 96 confirmed this in a message on Saturday. It is unclear whether he will ever play for the Lower Saxony again. NGANKAM has been awarded by Europa League participant Eintracht Frankfurt to Hanover since the beginning of the season. For 96 he scored four goals this season and put on two more.
