It is clear that Thomas Müller is leaving Bayern in summer. How it goes on, however, is far from being.

Thomas Müller’s time at Bayern is coming to an end – but a final farewell to professional football does not seem to be sealed yet. Sports director Christoph Freund can well imagine that the 35-year-old will continue his career in a new environment.

Friend on Saturday evening on the TV show “Sky90”: “I am convinced that it is not over and that he has the energy to attack something new.” So far, Müller himself has not clearly commented on his plans after the club World Cup in summer. One thing is clear: a change within the Bundesliga is probably out of the question for him.

After the game, Müller only said in the stadium catacombs: “I have not yet made a final decision. I’m currently still fully in day -to -day business and we still have enough time.” One possibility could be a move to Bayern’s US partner association Los Angeles FC. Other clubs from the North American MLS should also show interest.

Friend praised Müller’s attitude and his training diligence. As the 2014 world champion “trains and lives”, suggest that he does not yet think about quitting. “No matter where it goes, he will enrich this club,” continued the sports director.

Even players Joshua Kimmich did not want to assess whether Müller had already released the team to the team. “Thomas and I talked some time or another, difficult to comment and evaluate it,” said Kimmich. And added: “He has never said anything – let’s see what he has for plans. I have the feeling that he still has a lot of fun playing football.”
