Recommendations of the editorial team
After almost two years of break, the time has come again: The continuation of the Netflix format “Black Mirror” goes into the seventh round. From April 10, 2025, the audience can watch: inside over six new episodes at the streaming service. Everything you should have on the screen is available here to read.
A look at the dark future
Again as a reminder: “Black Mirror” is an anthology series in which every episode stands for itself and can be seen in any order. What combines the consequences is that the effects of technology and media are treated on society. “Black Mirror” shows how narrow the line between progress and abyss can be.
And the seventh season of “Black Mirror” also brings to a highly technological, dystopian world. In one of the new episodes, for example, a consciousness -sided procedure is dealt with that examines the risks of artificial intelligence and the influence on human perception.
A new break in the narrative style
What happens for the first time in the new season is that “Black Mirror” for the first time breaks the golden rule that no episodes are continued. The episode “USS Callister”, which was one of the most popular in the fourth season, gets a sequel with “USS Callister: Welcome to Infinity”.
With a length of 90 minutes, this episode is the longest. Fans can therefore be excited to see how the history of the spaceship continues. There is also another innovation: Episode 4 becomes a sequel to the interactive film “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” (2018).
This awaits you in the episodes:
- “Ordinary people” – a company revolutionizes neurology, but the price for this is high
- “Bête noire” – an acquaintance from the past lets the presence of a young woman falter
- “Hotel Reverie” – the film industry is opened by artificial intelligence, but it turns out that everything is much more real than it seems
- “Toys” – a video game seems to convey a profound message, but the end is bloody
- “Eulogy” – a trip to the most beautiful memories becomes a nightmare
- “USS Callister: Welcome to Infinity” – the journey of the spaceship continues, while it starts in the infinite universe against 30 million gamers: inside
