Luminus wants to place a wind turbine between the De Biest district and the highway, about 400 meters from the first homes. The planned wind turbine would have a tip height of 230 meters. After receiving 175 objections, the city of Waregem issued a negative advice on the application. The city council believes that the impact on the living environment is too great.
