This is more than bitter. The former handball professional Pascal Hens is persecuted by the great bad luck.
An emotional farewell was planned – but for Pascal Hens the preparation ends with a bitter setback. The former national handball player and world champion from 2007 will not be able to play his own farewell game on Thursday.
As Hens announced about his social media channels, he contracted the Achilles tendon in the right leg. The injury occurred during the preparation for the game in the Hamburg Barclays Arena. There he wanted to stand on the record for the last time with his long -time companion Johannes Bitter and say goodbye to the fans.
“Sometimes it runs crappy, very shitty in this case,” said the 45-year-old. Despite his injury -related cancellation, there is great interest: more than 10,000 tickets for the farewell game have already been sold.
Hens played for HSV Hamburg from 2003 to 2016, became German champion with the Hanseatic Hanseatic League in 2011 and 2013 Champions League winner. In 2017 he ended his career and has been seen in TV formats such as “Let’s Dance”, “The Masked Singer” and “The Great Promibacks” since then. To do this, he works as an expert in handball transmissions.
