Since the end of December, the Roads and Traffic Agency (AWV) has been working on a thorough redesign of the Belgium intersection, on Vichtesteenweg (N36) in Deerlijk. This renewal must ensure safer traffic, including better crossings and cycle paths. On Friday, April 11, the renewed intersection will open again for all traffic.

The businesses on the Breestraat and the connection with Wafelstraat can be reached again from then on. The traffic lights will remain in cutting position for another week, and will be put into use on April 18.
