In Germany and France, police authorities have taken preventive measures on Monday to prevent attacks. In Duisburg, fourteen high schools were closed as a precaution and in Paris the police picked up three men who would have something to do with the preparation of an attack. There is no connection between the two issues.
High school students from Duisburg, in the west of Germany, are not allowed to take lessons on location on Monday. A police spokesperson informed German media on Sunday evening. The students receive lessons from home.
Last Friday the school board received a threatening letter with right-wing extremist texts. The anonymous letter writer announced to commit criminal offenses that would affect the school on Monday. On Sunday the school received a second letter, in which thirteen other schools were also threatened.
After police investigation, it was established that the threatening letter was not too serious, but as a precaution it was nevertheless decided to close the school buildings for students. The police are currently trying to find out who the letter writer is.
Physical education takes place at Gymnasia in Duisburg. “Dear parents, decide for yourself whether you will leave your child at home tomorrow,” writes a gymnasium in a letter to the parents, who has viewed the German news agency DPA.

In Paris, two men were arrested on Sunday who are suspected of planning an attack. A third man is suspected of not reporting a terrorist crime. He is currently under judicial supervision. The French anti -terror unit PNAT reports this.
