The opening of the season went well on the field. There was room for improvement outside the field. The Veikkausliiga season started on Saturday with a real encounter when HJK and one big champion favorite of the season met at Tammela Stadium in Tampere. The match ended with Ilves’ dramatic 3-2 victory. HJK led the match at the beginning of the opening half already 2-0. The lynx narrowed the game to 1-2 during the first 45 minutes and crashed in the second half alongside and past.
