A trumpet from Genoa, jugs from Germany and wheat grains from northern countries: divers found a huge variety of objects in a sixteenth-century shipwreck on the bottom of the Wadden Sea. Such ships formed connecting links between all kinds of human and economic networks, historian GEKE citizen notes: from grain traders in Danzig to the hungry population in Italy, from Vlielander Leading to West Frisian ship boys.
