A motorist was hit in Meppel tonight. That happened around half past one on Europalaan.
According to a bystander, the driver rode a lamppost before the car landed upside down in the roadside. The man could get out of the car independently and was then checked by ambulance personnel.
The car was picked up by a recovery company. A roadway from the Europalaan was closed to other traffic, but now released again.
