(In the 1. paragraph, second sentence, it must be correct that the majority in

House of Representatives was expanded, not in the congress)

Washington (dpa-Afx)-In two Republican strongholds in the state of Florida, both candidates of the conservative party of US President Donald Trump have won post-election for the US Congress-but more scarce than in the vote in November. With the two victories, the Republicans expanded their majority in the House of Representatives to 220 to 213 votes.

The elections had become necessary because the incumbents had been deducted from Trump. The president had made Mike Waltz his security advisor. Waltz became known nationwide by the affair about the not so secret group chats about the App Signal before the attack on the Huthi-Miliz in Yemen. In the district previously represented, the Republican Randy Fine won 56.5 percent to 42.8 after counting more than 98 percent of the vote. Waltz was still 30 points ahead in November.

The second seat was released by Matt Gaetz, who was actually intended by Trump as Minister of Justice. However, after allegations had become loud, he did without that he had sex with a minor and consumed drugs. Here the Republican Jimmy Patronis won against the Democrat Gay Valimont with 57 percent to 42 after counting 99 percent of all votes./TM/dp/nas
