At the league meeting in Florida, the owners coordinate about lots of NFL changes. But there are also completely different applications. For example, the approval of the AAFC statistics, which has now been waved through.

The NFL competition committee had submitted the proposal that the statistics of the All-America Football Conference are now officially counted among the NFL statistics. This application was granted by the owners of the teams.

The all-America Football Conference (AAFC) existed from 1946 to 1949 before the league dissolved. With the Cleveland Browns, the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Colts, three teams joined the NFL at the time, other teams, e.g. the Buffalo Bills, were initially on the track.

The league was dominated in all four seasons by the Cleveland Browns, who secured all the titles. In 1948 they won all 14 games of the regular season and the championship game and thus played the perfect season. In doing so, they do the 1972 Dolphin’s society, which continues to remain the only unbeaten team in the playoff era, because despite the merger of the statistics, the AAFC Champions want to be viewed separately.

Success coach makes big jump

The browns were trained by Head Coach Paul Brown, who is probably the biggest winner of the decision. He suddenly officially has 52 victories (regular season and playoffs) more on the account and now comes to 222 victories. In the eternal ranking, he has now moved to seventh place from 22nd place.

In addition to the head coach, some players also climbed in the respective rankings. Quarterback Ya Tittle is now in 44th place in Passing Yards and is surrounded by Steve Young and Troy Aikman.

With 5.7 yards, Running Back Marion Motley now has the best value of all running backs with at least 750 snaps played.
