Washington (dpa-AfX)-US President Donald Trump is outraged by the latest proposal by Kremlin chief Vladimir Putinto put the Ukraine under UN administration and have a new government voted. He was “pissed off” on Putin, said Trump – but also announced another conversation with the Russian president for the coming days. “I was very angry and pissed off when Putin about the credibility of Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj Herzog and began to talk about a new tour in Ukraine,” he said in an NBC interview.
Reaction to Putin’s proposal to UN administration
According to NBC and Foxnews, Trump referred to Putin’s proposal to provide the Ukraine attacked by Russia under the administration of the United Nations and to hold new elections there.
Trump, according to the information, added in the telephone interview that Putin knew that he was angry. But he also has a very good relationship with the Kremlin chief. And the “trouble quickly flies” when Putin does the right thing.
Trump has been trying to convey a peaceful solution in the war against Ukraine for more than three years against Ukraine. Putin rejected a 30-day ceasefire proposed by Trump. As minimal consensus, both have agreed to take out objects of the energy supply of attacks.
Penal tariffs can come within one month
The President also threatened to occupy Russia and the buyers of Russian oil with punitive tariffs. This could make export more difficult and reduce his foreign exchange income. Russia’s major customers include India and China – new tariffs would probably lead to great economic faults.
The US President said that the punitive tariffs could come within one month should there be no ceasefire. Trump not only spoke of punitive tariffs for Moscow customers, at one point he went even further: “That would mean that those who buy oil from Russia cannot do business in the United States.”
The NBC jounalist Kristen Welker reported that Trump called her and made his anger clear. If he could not reach an agreement with Russia about the end of the bloodshed in Ukraine, “and if I believe that it was Russia’s fault – which may not be the case – but if I think it was Russia’s fault, then I will raise secondary dulls on oil, on everything that comes from Russia”.
The tariffs would therefore be 25 percent and could come at any time. Trump had recently announced so -called secondary tariffs against Venezuela. This punitive tariff is said to pay each country that relates oil from the occupied country.
Putin left open when he wanted to make calls with Putin this week. Most recently, the two had called on March 19. The part of the NBC interview on Putin was posted by an account of the White House on the platform X./TM/DP/ZB
