Pmore than 92 thousand euros to study at one of the most prestigious universities in Italy: it means being able to do it peacefully, day after day, throughout your studies, without worrying about expenses anymore. Recipient of the scholarship, a student from the South in a situation of economic disadvantage who will enroll in the three-year course in Economics and Business, in English. Luiss Guido Carli promotes it together with Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital. And there are very few days available to apply.
The maxi scholarship intended for a girl from the South: 92 thousand euros to study at Luiss
The objective is clear: «to offer the possibility of accessing an excellent university path regardless of the starting economic conditions», he explains Patricia Micucci. There Founder and Managing Partner of Aurora GC promoted the initiative with particular warmth, remembering her former self: she also studied at Luiss Guido Carli, and from Foggia she was able to fly to Wall Street.
The initiative is significant for the amount allocated: the scholarship does not only cover academic fees, but the entire course of study for three years. Included are accommodation in a Luiss university residence for ten months of the year, food in the university canteens, an annual contribution for books and teaching materials and also exemption from the graduation fee.
How to apply for the competition, by May 29th
The scholarship is aimed at a student residing in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia or Sicily, with a ISEEU not exceeding 35 thousand euros. The selection will take into consideration not only the results of the Luiss admission test, but also the personal curriculum, including any sporting, work or volunteering experience.
The competition is announced by Luiss Guido Carli, thanks to the contribution provided by Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital, through Renaissance AIFM, together with 5 companies participated by Aurora (Farmo, Eurmoda, Promo-Pharma, Finlogic, Club del Sole). But this grant is not alone: it is part of the broader “Renaissance Talenti” project, through which Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital want to invest in youth training and employment. In fact, the program provides two other scholarships in English at Bocconi University and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, for a total investment of approximately 285 thousand euros in three years.
The other projects
Alongside the bags, “Rinascimento Talenti” also includes one study on the phenomenon of brain draindeveloped together with LIUC – Carlo Cattaneo University, with the aim of analyzing the reasons that push many young graduates to move abroad and identifying possible tools to encourage their return.
Then there is a third axis directly dedicated to work: the “Renaissance Talent Acceleration Program”, an insertion and training plan in the companies owned by the two funds. Three-year growth paths, mentorships, career days and internships are planned for the selected students, with the idea of creating a more direct connection between university and the professional world.
