The planned wind turbine of 238 meters high causes a lot of unrest from local residents. They fear, among other things, drop shadow, noise nuisance and impact on their health. According to simulations, hundreds of homes in the area would be bothered, especially in the fall and winter.
There are also wind plans in neighboring municipality of Oostkamp, but the municipal administration now advises negative.
