80,000 road victims of the past fifty years commemorated in Hasselt: “These figures are hallucinatory”

In Hasselt, the approximately 80,000 people who died in traffic in Belgium over the past fifty years were symbolically commemorated on Sunday. Traffic institute Vias and non-profit organization Parents of Accident Children (OVK) symbolically unveiled a carpet with the names of the road victims in the presence of Flemish Minister of Mobility and Public Works Lydia Peeters (Open VLD).
