One of the eye-catchers is a floating offshore test platform that will be deployed in a wind farm in the Belgian North Sea. “Companies and knowledge institutions will, among other things, carry out material tests, corrosion tests and tests with offshore energy systems in real conditions at sea,” says POM chairman Jean de Bethune.
In addition, an advanced measuring and monitoring buoy has also been purchased. This collects data on weather and sea conditions and can also serve as support for drones at sea.
