This year we are celebrating King’s Day in Zoetermeer on Saturday 26 April. Time to go out with the whole family, neighborhood children, nephews and nieces and to celebrate the king’s birthday together. Read below which activities you can go with the kids.

Free market in Zoetermeer

On Saturday morning, April 26, the market and the Dorpsstraat full of Zoetermeerders who have cleaned up their attic. You can stroll all day on the Vrijmarkt and look for the best second -hand items. Children up to 12 years old Lake Can also sell their things on the free market in the shopping center. In the Oosterheem shopping center there is also a rug market on Oosterheemplein.

King’s Day on Cadenzaplein

Cadenzaplein in the Stadshart is the place for a day full of party and fun from 10 a.m. In the morning and afternoon there are performances by Zoetermeer singers, dancers, DJs and bands of CKC Zoetermeer and Music School Music Soulhouse. The traveling magician gives a magical magic show for the little ones. One of the most popular kids influencers of the moment, Dutchtuberr Job, is on stage to entertain the children.

In the city center

There are various market stalls in the Stadshart all day, the shops are open and the catering establishments turn off the terraces. Go with the children to the park on the north where an exciting and challenging obstacle course of up to 80 meters is plotted. They can participate in old Dutch games or in a football clinic of the Zoetermeer Soccerstars on the Promenadeplein.

From the market to the Dorpsstraat

On the market, children can enjoy themselves between 11 am and 4.30 pm during the children’s games of the scouting. There is a wheel of fortune, living puppet show and sweeper. In the brand new Nicolaaspark there is a children’s playground with a maze, puppet show, clowns, merry -go -round and make -up.

Between 11 am and 4 pm, get some goodies at one of the food trucks and settle in the Palensteinpark (opposite CKC) for a picnic. Meanwhile, listen to performances by students from the CKC while the children participate in one of the art workshops.
