During a traffic control on the KringGreppel in Zundert, it was found on Wednesday afternoon that a 65-year-old man from Vlaardingen was not in possession of a valid driver’s license. In fact: he had been driving around the pink piece of paper for thirty years.
The man should have handed in his driver’s license almost thirty years ago after he had been declared completely riding.
When he was checked by district agents on Wednesday, he acknowledged his loss. “So he managed to spring the dance for a long time, but now it really fell through the basket,” the Weerijs police write on a message on Instagram.
“It was coming once,” the man told the agents. He first tried to get out of it by not being completely honest about his identity, but the neighborhood agents did not fall for it. The man said that he had never been checked by the police before.
An official report has been drawn up and if the man makes another similar mistake, the car will be confiscated.
