Former Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki celebrated her first individual victory in the main draw of a WTA tournament after her comeback in Bad Homburg.
The 32-year-old won the first round of the lawn tennis tournament on Tuesday against Tamara Korpatsch from Hamburg 6: 4, 7: 6 (7: 5).

Lisicki proved in the final stages of the two sets against the world number 105. from Hamburg that she is playful and combative on the right path. In the first round she turned a 0:3 deficit and used the set ball with an ace.

After a serious cruciate ligament injury and an injury break of one and a half years, Lisicki returned to the WTA tour in Berlin last week, but missed qualifying for the main draw.
In Bad Homburg she got a wildcard and should have played against Olympic champion Belinda Bencic in the first match. The Swiss had to cancel. She injured her foot in the Berlin final against Ons Jabeur from Tunisia.
