Diemenaar René V. had to appear in court together with two co -suspects in May. They would have tried in vain on May 21, 2023 to fish more than 25 kilos of cocaine between the flowers. A bona fide employee of the flower company put a stick for it.
V. is given the highest punishment. The other two men, a 63-year-old man from Barendrecht and 40-year-old man from Leeuwarden, have to go to jail for four and six years. For all three, the custody is still deducted from that punishment.
Indispensable link with input cocaine
The court does not doubt that V. “was an indispensable link when entering cocaine from Colombia to the Netherlands.” “Without him there was no possibility for the organization to be able to have cocaine again in the Netherlands,” can be read in the verdict.
On camera images of that Saturday morning you can see that V. lets the other two men in and they go through the flowers. What they do not know is that the cocaine packages are already intercepted. The next day, V. tries to find out the location of the seized packages through his employer.
On his phone, conversations were found that V. had with the criminals before 21 May. They were about the import of drugs and possible data were discussed. Photos of the box where the cocaine was sent and a screenshot of Flight Radar, on which the flight that transported the box was.
