55 extra ground sleepers in a week: “Penalty reduction or ankle bracelets? Both will have to happen”

Overcrowding in Belgian prisons is increasing again. According to the most recent update, there are currently 585 inmates who have to sleep on the floor. That is 55 more than at the previous count at the end of January. A total of 40 detainees were added compared to January 26. “Penalty reduction or ankle bracelets? Both will have to be done,” it sounds.
