The time for green fashion is now – with this demand, INNATEX, which takes place from July 29th to 31st, 2023 in the exhibition center in Hofheim-Wallau, is starting the summer season. With the short motto “NOW”, the 52nd International Trade Fair for Sustainable Fashion near Frankfurt am Main wants to express the urgency of sustainable change in the fashion industry.
Lounge area with new topics and cooperations
In addition to the already established and constructive partnerships with, among others, the Hesse trade association and Mirjam Smend from Greenstyle Munich as well as Pureviu, the organizing MUVEO GmbH has entered into a new cooperation with the Fashion Changers. The two heads behind the initiative from Berlin, Nina Lorenzen and Vreni Jäckle, will organize and moderate two lounge talks on Saturday. On Sunday and Monday, the other parties will contribute to the program with additional experts.
“We are currently discussing several topics for the Lounge Talks such as size inclusion and branding strategies for fashion companies in the digital age,” says AlexanderWärmel, Project Manager of INNATEX. “The new community lounge, which combines talks, DESIGN DISCOVERIES and information stands with experts, was already well received in winter. However, we will still not be creating a consistent programme, because as an order fair, INNATEX will continue to focus on concentrated work.”
Green Fashion is NOW: Creativity and a spirit of optimism in the industry
In the community,Wärmel noticed anything but a lethargic attitude due to the last years of the crisis. Of the more than 220 exhibitors, some are enlarging or doubling their stand space. Some labels announce completely new lines with which they react to the market. Classic textile manufacturers are also opening up to fresher looks, exchanging ideas with suppliers and testing new materials.
“We’re looking forward to the summer fair, because we’re already registering extraordinary creativity and dynamism – and that’s a good thing!”, Heatl says happily. “We need a sustainable counterweight to ultra-fast fashion more than ever.”

INNATEX is the world’s only international trade fair for sustainable textiles, which, in addition to the classic clothing sector, also offers a sales and communication platform for numerous other textile product groups such as accessories, shoes, home textiles, fabrics and toys. MUVEO GmbH launched the DESIGN DISCOVERIES project for INNATEX in order to support selected newcomer labels and newcomers to the trade fair with subsidized stands and special communication measures.
