49ers win NFL spectacle in Mexico rain

The San Francisco 49ers clinched an important win over the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL visit to Mexico and now have the best playoff chances of the NFC West teams.

The 38-10 lead saw the 49ers improve their record to six wins in ten games and overtake the Seattle Seahawks, who lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Munich last week and had no game this weekend.

Jimmy Garoppolo with four touchdown passes, George Kittle with two touchdowns and the offensive threat of Christian McCaffrey and Debo Samuel were too much for the Cardinals’ defense in the pouring rain at Aztec Stadium.

Without injured quarterback Kyler Murray, the Cardinals, who also play in the NFC West, were down to four wins and seven losses. Bottom of the division is the defending champion Los Angeles Rams with three wins and seven losses.
