In the past quarter, 42,000 companies submitted an application for the Emergency Measure Bridging Employment (NOW), the UWV benefits agency reported on Tuesday. With this measure, the government is compensating part of the wage costs in the context of the corona crisis. 32,700 applications with a total amount of 775 million euros have already been approved.
