According to the judge in Assen, a 40-year-old man from the municipality of Westerwolde was guilty of making online sex appointments (Grooming) with four boys aged 14 and 15 from Groningen and Drenthe. He raped two of them. The man has been sentenced to three years in prison and TBS with compulsory treatment.
The punishment corresponds to the requirement of the Public Prosecution Service (OM). The forties approached the teenagers via social media last summer. He also acted as the minor Robin. In this way he won the trust of the teenagers. The fictional Robin then brought the teenagers into contact with the suspect for a job on his catering company.
As Robin, the suspect had sexually tinted conversations with the teenagers. He also got them over nude photos of themselves. With three teenagers it came to a physical appointment with the suspect. Two were sexually abused. A 15-year-old boy told his leader of accompanied living in Roden what had happened. The other boys came into the picture via the suspect’s phone. The man has been detained since 6 September.
The judge blames the man for abusing the confidence of vulnerable young boys. He has seriously damaged their sexual development. Two teenagers did not want to explain. Their mother told the police that they were mentally too seriously excited and the family had fallen into trouble. The suspect does not take his responsibility by firmly denying.
According to experts, the forties suffer from a personality disorder and a sexual deviation. The criminal offenses can be charged to a reduced extent. Without a long -term and intensive treatment, the chance of repetition is high. TBS without compulsory treatment, the judge finds insufficient. The man is too unmotivated to be able to adhere to the conditions imposed for a long time.
