SpVgg Bayreuth celebrated their second consecutive victory in the 3rd division and left the relegation zone for the time being.
Bayreuth jumped from 17th to 15th place with a 3-0 (1-0) win against bottom team SV Meppen. Most recently, Upper Franconia had already surprisingly beaten the promotion candidate Dynamo Dresden.
Eroll Zejnullahu (20′, 88′) and Alexander Nollenberger (48′) scored for Bayreuth.
Meppen, on the other hand, has to wait for the first away win of the season. The bottom of the table has only scored nine points in 15 games on a foreign pitch.
