Despite an extension in Rosenheim
Also promoted SpVgg Bayreuth has strengthened again shortly before the start of the 3rd league. After two years, Christoph Fenninger is returning to the old town from TSV 1860 Rosenheim, which was relegated to the regional league. The attacker, who was directly involved in 14 goals in 34 games last season, had previously extended his contract in Rosenheim until 2024.
“I’m really happy to be back here,” said Fenninger, who currently has to take a break with muscular problems. “It’s a bit like coming home.” Coach Thomas Kleine added: “Christoph is a very experienced regional league player. We trust him to take the next step. In addition, his character suits us perfectly. And of course he is a very good striker!”
