Has been in office since late 2021
FC Ingolstadt has parted ways with coach Rüdiger Rehm after three defeats in a row. The “Schanzer” reported on Tuesday. The 44-year-old has been in office since December 2021 and had looked after the FCI in 43 games in which he scored an average of 1.33 points per game. In the current season, the club has fluctuated between positions one and eight in the 3rd division, and is currently in seventh place.
“First of all, we would like to thank Rüdiger Rehm and Mike Krannich for their commitment and the very trusting cooperation at the club at all times. Due to the current sporting situation and the lack of results after the last five defeats from seven games, we have come to the decision that we have to act. The start of 2023 in particular did not go at all as we all imagined. We really wanted to start the rest of the round successfully in order to stay on top. Unfortunately we did not succeed in this. The goal now is to get back on the road to success as quickly as possible,” said FCI Managing Director Dietmar Beiersdorfer. As it is said, “until further notice” Thomas Karg, Luca Schuster and Christian Liefke will take over the training.
The FCI and coach Rüdiger Rehm are going their separate ways with immediate effect. In addition to the 44-year-old, assistant coach Mike Krannich will also be released. Until further notice, the coaching team around Thomas Karg, Luca Schuster & Christian Liefke will take over the training.https://t.co/b3NdOcnvGT
