FC Erzgebirge Aue celebrated a respectable success in its last third division home game for the time being. The already relegated team lost a point to promotion aspirant MSV Duisburg in a 0-0 draw. The Saxons are now unbeaten in six competitive games in a row under new coach Khvicha Shubitidze. The result should also bring joy in Lausitz, because with a win on Saturday in Regensburg, Cottbus can distance Duisburg, who were currently tied on points, by two points.
From the start it developed into an encounter in which the favorite went on the offensive and Aue withdrew. The violets stood well and won many duels.
