Alemannia Aachen has confirmed its first winter transfer this year and is signing a Greek professional for the first time in the club’s history. Central defender Petros Bagalianis comes from Greek first division club AE Larisa – provided the 24-year-old passes the medical check, as the mandatory examination has not yet been completed despite the club’s notification of the transfer. This will be done at the winter training camp in Belek, Turkey, where Bagalianis has already arrived. The examination will take place on Friday – Overview: All player nationalities in the history of Alemannia.
“Petros is a central defender who has already gained a lot of experience and has regularly played at a high level,” said Alemannia’s sports director Rachid Azzouzi. “With his robust style of play and his two-footedness, he has characteristics that will be of use to us in defense. We are very pleased that he is now part of Alemannia and can complete parts of the winter training camp with us.”
After his move, Bagalianis said: “I’ve heard a lot of good things about Alemannia Aachen – about the club, the fans and the atmosphere at the Tivoli. The conversations with those responsible were very convincing and I’m very happy to now be part of this club. I want to help the team as quickly as possible and do everything I can to ensure that we are successful together.”
