TSV 1860 Munich has strengthened its position as a candidate for promotion by setting the starting record in the 3rd football league. Coach Michael Köllner’s team defeated Hallesche FC 3-1 (1-0) on Friday evening.

In the sold-out Grünwalder Stadion, Martin Kobylanski (34th minute) scored with a fine volley, Yannick Deichmann (61st) followed up and Joseph Boyamba (79th) scored for the sixties. Boyamba, who came on after the break, converted a penalty kick he was responsible for. Halles Andor Bolyki (74th) had caused tension again before the third “Löwen” goal with a header.

Lots of warnings

The guests were temporarily outnumbered after Tunay Deniz received a yellow-red card for repeated foul play. From the 56th minute, the number on the field was equal again: 1860 professional Tim Rieder saw the red card for gross foul play. Overall, the “Lions” dominated the home game, which was marked by many warnings, and can now watch the pursuit’s efforts to keep up at the weekend.

With their fifth win in five games, TSV 1860 Munich matched Kickers Offenbach’s starting record from the 2010/11 season.
