‘3FM feels screwed’ after the departure of DJs Hoogendoorn and Van der Lende | Stars

Hoogendoorn can be heard from 3 October every Monday to Thursday in the early evening, while Van der Lende will make a program on Friday evening. Until recently, both DJs still had a prominent place in 3FM’s programming. Hoogendoorn was behind the microphone in the morning show, Van der Lende took care of the afternoon show together with Eva Koreman.

According to the new programming that 3FM published last month, Hoogendoorn would make another program for BnnVara from 12 September in the afternoon from 13.00 to 16.00. Van der Lende would be heard on the public channel on behalf of the same broadcaster in the early evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Surprise

But now 3FM will have to look for other DJs to fill the gaps of the departed duo. And the leadership is said to be unhappy about that. Insiders say to it AD that internally at 3FM there is ‘reaction with surprise’ to the transfer of figureheads Hoogendoorn and Van der Lende. According to the newspaper, the station would ‘feel screwed’ by the two.

3FM station manager Menno de Boer – in that position since 1 May – is late AD are unable to explain the unexpected transfer. “We’ve talked about this for a really long time. (…) The new programming was created in careful consultation with broadcasters and presenters. Despite their previous promises, Sander and Frank now choose a different path. That is a pity, but the focus at NPO 3FM remains forward.”

‘Incredibly happy’

About his new workplace, Hoogendoorn says in a press statement: “Veronica feels like a group of music friends in a smoky attic room, surrounded by thousands of records and CDs. And if one Sander is over the dam, more will follow,” he continues with a wink to former 3FM DJ Sander Lantinga, who previously switched from Radio 538 to Radio Veronica and will also be on the station from 3 October.

Van der Lende is also looking forward to working for Veronica. „If you say Frank, you say live music and that occupies an important place on Friday evening at Veronica. I am very happy that I will soon be able to make radio on Veronica, surrounded by all my musical friends, all the new discoveries and all the old hands.”
