“It is going very well,” 33-year-old Frank told his regular colleague Eva Koreman by telephone. “We are going to love him very much and I hope the world remains beautiful for him.”
The timing of Koos’ arrival is remarkable. Because of the birth, Van der Lende could not be at the last broadcast of his show. He and Koreman learned earlier this year that their afternoon show has to end. The two have been making the program since April 2020.
“I find it very strange not to be with you on this day,” said Frank. “We experienced so much during the afternoon show, but it was also mainly us Eva, what we did.” But where something ends, something new begins, Frank said. “And our afternoon show ends, but a new life begins. If we could have thought of that in advance…”
